Actually, I wanted to paint something, which would fit Midsummer theme... Candlemas painting appeared instead. This is typical of me, I can not force myself to paint for any contest if I don't feel inspired.. The idea was to paint a fairy which symbolize the coming season of spring and light ( a bit too late  ). I wanted that her wings look something like green leaves and that she shines like a candle. it turned very much like I imagined but for the background... Can you believe I used RAW UMBER to paint the background??? Neither do I! but I DID! I bought a tube of raw umber (by Schmincke) and it differs much from Daley Rownew's raw umber I am used to. I can not call it umber at all! well, anyway... I was too lazy to remake everything... it doesn't look that bad after all... even it is a bit different... Hope you like it anyway!
